[ Apr 30, 2005 ] What a night...
Nights of Fire... I Hope the fire spreads and God moves in peoples' hearts throughout the nation... we need more nights like that. To come into His presence and praise and celebrate and go nuts with music! I'm tired... tonight was crazy and awesome! Every month I'm anxious and excited for NoF, and every month it never fails... uniting together under one name, under one God... speechless.

In other news, I'm filtering through my movie collection... some of you might think 'it's about time', but it's been on my mind for a while now, encouraged to do it more after coming back from Equip, and prompted to do it now coming back tonight; and I've never done it for the years I've been collecting movies. I'm at the point now that I'm in a very different place than I was years ago, and some of the movies I've got just serve no purpose or only serve a negative purpose. so, this week if you're over, expect at some point to see a reduced collection... :)

[ Apr 24, 2005 ] Equipped - Regular or Radical?
Ok so this is a long one...... a long entry for a long weekend of seminars, workshops, sessions - about everything from worship to evolution and creation to youth culture, media, morals, to passion - 'stepping out of the boat' as it were, like Peter. I took loads of notes from the workshops I was a part of at Equip '05, and the Answers in Genesis conference. I wrote some summaries of the weekend's events in here, but I'll be adding a link to detailed notes I made from the workshops very soon... an amazing weekend! I'm exhausted, but it was great :) And my laptop's my new best friend :P

[ Apr 17, 2005 ] Spring is in the air...
So much to write, too lazy to bother... :) In short, went to an awards ceremony for the Icon Awards on Thursday, which was quite an experience (pics soon), and today got a really good afternoon out in the fresh country air for some bike riding, and that was something that was a long time in coming for me... I'm so relaxed now... worn out, but relaxed :)
Oh and did I ever say I've now fiiinally got a laptop? yeah... very nice, and it goes with me everywhere I go... well, except on the bike ride today :P

[ Mar 9, 2005 ] true love is a choice...
Sounds like 'love is a verb' :P Well, yet another blog entry about this whole Christian 'love' scene... partial book review, partial commentary, partial journal entry. Gotta love it... anyway, here are some links for the curious - When God Writes Your Love Story - Eric & Leslie Ludy, and a couple of books by Joshua Harris (I Kissed Dating Goodbye, Boy Meets Girl), and I'm sure there are other similar books out there... I'd recommend Josh Harris mainly. But read on to find out my 'commentary' on this whole scene... :)

[ Feb 22, 2005 ] corporate woes...
hmm... so there are some changing going on at work... more leaving, a few new faces I haven't yet met who've been around for who knows how long... where's my future going to be? This week will, I'm sure, be very busy in my office as my co-worker is resigning his position and leaving next week.

[ Feb 14, 2005 ] experiencing reality...
How can I explain this week? I know - in paragraphs and paragraphs of heart-felt description of what I've experienced and done... an eye-opening week, has shown me more of reality, what's beyond the shell of the life I live, and what's in my back yard... and what everyone of us needs to experience at some point.

[ Feb 11, 2005 ] my crazy week-ness...
wow... what a crazy week...
Word of God, speak - would You pour down like rain - Washing my eyes to see Your majesty... Somewhere, somewhen, out there is an answer to my prayer... maybe now, maybe later, maybe here, maybe far... how I long for the day when the answer will be here, and now. But fortunately, my hope and strength is in God, and God alone.

[ Feb 10, 2005 ] magnetic attraction
Have you heard this one: a relationship can be like two magnets with attractive poles being slowly moved together. The closer they get, the easier it is for them to jump the gun, out of the hands holding them, and connect together - but the guiding hands have lost control. I don't want those guiding hands to lose control of me, or any other 'magnet', regardless of how strong the magnetic attraction may be :P.
And, once again I battle with my focus, my goals, and decisions...

[ Feb 3, 2005 ] the paradox of humility
Firstly, I've added a new section - Chronicles of expression... where I've scoured my photo archive to find my favourite, most expressive artistic shots, and archived them... my hope is that I can use them to help further depict the feeling of my journal entries... a quick glimpse into my thoughts before delving further. :)

the paradox of humility...
- the more I try to be a 10, the farther from 10 I become...
I was convicted today. So much to write about, but only a couple things seem remotely important... maybe I'll get to those first things another day. A lot has happened in the past week, yet today overshadowed all of that...

[ Jan 23, 2005 ] So much playing...
Contemporary service tonight... read about my struggle with worship leading and where I feel I'm being led. But note, it's relatively long for the topic, and I might babble a bit, but I'm just saying what's in my heart :). It'll be updated later with news about the service when I get home. I'll be making another blog entry this week sometime on some other topics, but just this for now...

[ Dec 5, 2004 ] sub kooch ho sek-ee dey!
(Dalit for "Through God, all things are possible")
What... a... weekend... too much typing, big headache, amazing day, amazing weekend... verse I was given: Proverbs 3:15... two entirely different meanings taken in and out of context... and yet, both ways have a strong message for me... even so, today was like the culmination of weeks of extreme ups and downs, pain and joy. And, it ended with joy! Alas, now I can finally relax... *sigh* Find out more inside :)

[ Oct 2, 2004 ] I'm being spied on...
So yeah... I got a strange anonymous package in the mail today that had a sheet from a weekly newsletter from a company called NorBAC. 3 lines were blocked out, and someone wrote on there to help them find out what that is, and to go to sciencesucks.com. Interesting...

So the weekend is over, and I had another shpiel to spill... here's what's on my mind for this writing... [ July 21, 2004 ] A typists bane...
Ok, it's finally here, the big update. Let's see, I talk a lot about a bunch of stuff, from things that happened at the place to people that did things somewhere else and some times that passed since the last update. Oh and someone said something, and somewhere else someone else did something else too...

But seriously, lots has happened... I've tried to cover the major things - Kid's Camp, the band and the couple of bigger venues we've been to, the whole camera issue, and a bunch of the other 'good stuff' that these blogs are for... :) It's so long, I actually included a linkable index to jump to each section, hehe... I still want to put pictures in there, but right now none are up... that is, kid's camp photos and the band event photos... anyway, I'm hungry...

[ June 3, 2004 ] Choices choices camera choices...
So... I'm in a predicament... I've been looking at options for camera purchases... given I've been feeling naked without my camera with me, my right hand canon, I've been weighing pros and cons... so click to read this entire entry, and hand me some thoughts... If you're a photographer, then definitely lend me some opinions! If you're not a photographer, I'd still like to hear from you :) (remember, there's a 'Post Comments' link now *wink*wink*) but read the whole entry first... this one aint long (for once) :)

[ May 16, 2004 ] stupid... stupid... stupid... stupid...
More stealing... big thing this time. And without ranting in this small summary space, please read the entire entry. I was thinking out loud... In short, how could I be so stupid to be so careless with that bag? But in the end, would it have mattered how careful I was with the bag? Read more to find out what I mean... So keep your eyes open for my bag, if you know what it looks like. My cell was in it, and it's now deactivated. And a number of other items. So last year my bike, this year my camera and other things, what next?

[ Apr 28, 2004 ] I love You more than life...
Music is a growing part of my life, and is just took a leap forward recently... I should have written about all the things I wanted to over the past month, but I don't have the time now :) If anything was important enough, it would have been written here... but I'll try to keep up on the blog entries in the future, cuz I know there's going to be a lot of stuff I'll want to write about in the coming months... But I'm really excited about the thing I'm writing about here this time... :)

[ Mar 25, 2004 ] The Neighbourhood
Here's a short story that just came to me. It's a story about a neighbourhood, a caretaker, and a bunch of people who lived there, and their struggles and difficulties. And it has an ending that will change your life! ;) It is a short story... long, but short... read it when you've got the time, and I'd love to hear some comments back about it. Yes I wrote it, and yes I'll be adding another personal blog entry in the next few days.

[ Feb 23, 2004 ] Hakuna Matata!
Ahh the Lion King 1 1/2... funny movie :) It's been a while once again, and a lot has happened, but there's a bunch of other things that have happened. Like the house falling apart... not that that's a first, but still deadly :P... I've updated the youth website notmypants.com with a whack of changes... the youth group has come a long way since december, and it's going really really well. We'll be starting up a video series called Quest near the end of March as a ministry to teens from, well, anywhere... and this is gonna involve a transformation of the church basment! :D My cousin's getting married on the 29th too... the last of them to get married I believe... and I've forged a great friendship with a girl in PA that I just gotta rave about :)

[ Jan 5, 2004 ] Feliz ano nuevo!
Happy New Year! So Christmas was really great, in many ways... I've worked probably 6 days over the past 3 weeks, so even though I didn't travel, I still had a vacation. Well needed, and a long time in coming. I spent a lot of time with friends, at the last minute being invited to a couple family get togethers (not my family) which was really nice, and made my Christmas :). New Year's Eve with the youth was great fun! From board games, to video games, to food and general fun... lots of people and lots of fun. I've also made note of some memorable quotes and what they mean to me.

[ Dec 21, 2003 ] This is a good Christmas.
It's amazing what one act of kindness can do, for the giver and the receiver. My Christmas just took a turn for the better now, because I gave something to a friend who's reaction was simply speechless. Seeing the shock and joy in his eyes made me realize what friendship really is, and before now, I was a little or worried about what my Christmas would be like, with no family to spend it with at the same time as everyone else, I may be spending the 'significant' days on my own just relaxing and enjoying the holidays. But now, if I do that, I'll really be happy. Knowing that real friendships are out there, what are two days in the grand scheme of things? Come what may this holiday, it'll be great!

[ Dec 19, 2003 ] Too much to catch up on...
Oh boy, another biggy... gotta cover a few things here. I've got the flu. Yeah, I never got flu shots, and now I'm taking days off work. bah. Come what may... I made it through the LOTR trilogy marathon on Tuesday. That was an amzingly interesting experience... went with a few friends for the day and enjoyed a theatre full of LOTR fanatics who also dished out $50 for a day of 3+ hours movies... what a day :) The Christmas program went really really well, given it was our first production of this caliber in our church. The Noise We Make... gonna be remembering this one for many years to come. Finally, I've gotta work on emptying my schedule a bit. Some people seem to think I'm too busy, don't give myself enough time to relax, or I just push everything too close together and end up getting too little sleep or too much stress. And this flu doesn't help :P
